Honestly, I feel very curious about blogger's life. I mean, they are some one who still studying or working, how can they manage all their stuff?
Currently, I started to follow some famous bloggers, such as Jane, Ashley, XiaXue and Sophia.
Seriously, they all are very pretty and rich! OMG. Of course, they are writing on the topics that everyone is interested on it. So, they have very high readership and here comes to advertising. *They are smart* They can earn money by just introducing and posting an article on their blogs. Of course, their writing skill must be very good. At least, it's better than mine. :(
Through reading their blogs, I feel that my life is not as perfect as them. Why? Because they are keep posting on food, clothes, products, trips etc. And all the stuff are very expensive but they can pay for that. It means, they are from rich family.
After read their blogs, I was like, "Damn! I also want their life!" But, this thought just appeared in my mind for 5 minutes.
Everyone is having different life and you no need to envy them. *Of course I envy!* If in that case, then work hard and get a good pay job! *Or find a rich BF* So you can have more money to spend and also improve your living standards.
Nowadays, social / new media is becoming part of our life. We check Facebook everyday, we tweet while facing annoying situations, we upload our food to Instagram, we check in to Foursquare etc. But for what? I dunno. *I'm doing the same thing though* Is it a trend? YES! It is! Everyone is posting what are they doing at that moment to these social media and then waiting for the LIKES. And also because of these posts and photos, some of the people *maybe for those who are facing financial problem* will feel envy and depress to their own life. If more serious, they will suicide as they are not satisfy with their life.
Our society is sick. *Direct translate from Mandarin* And I feel pity to them.
I always tell myself that I'm having a better life if compare to those Africans or Indians (from rural area). Because they are facing lots of problem, such as health, financial and food. I should appreciate what I have and enjoy it. YOLO! *the new word learnt from Jeannie* Don't complaint or blame too much. Just enjoy at that moment and you will find out that the world is waiting for you to explore it. Such a pretty planet that we are living in.
So, YOLO!!
I am who I am
living with dreams, appreciate what we have

YES!!!
I got a job! *not officially*
This Monday I went to an interview at DIY Supply Printing *behind Klang Parade* and I was applying for graphic designer. One of the founders, Vincent Tong interviewed me and we were talking in Chinese. *PHEWWW* Before that, I was very nervous and thought that English will be used for the interview.
After I introduced myself, he asked me few questions and went through my portfolio. I showed him what I've done for Advertising assignments and also my drawings. Then he said that I'm not qualify to be a graphic designer since I don't have knowledge on Adobe Illustrator, Flash and video editing.
BUT...
He offered me another position which is photo booth sales coordinator cum email marketing executive. Hhhmmm, sounds very pro right? LOL! He said that I'm a quite active and out going person and graphic designer is not suit me. Since I have lots of experiences on event and I know photography, then he offered me the right position. Such a good boss, right?
And then, yesterday, he sms-ed me and asked me to sign the appointment letter!
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally! I got a job!
However, I hold this position first as I have another interview on next Tuesday and I'm gonna to try that too. Just take it as an experience.
Anyway, CONGRATULATION to myself!
Now, I'm at Kampar and tomorrow is my convocation. I'm the first university graduate in my family! So proud of myself! I'm gonna to meet all my friends and have fun on these few days!
End story and good luck to myself.

And then?
Stay at home for half month. I feel like want to cry already.
Went to 2nd interview at Jaya One yesterday. The company is Asia Assistance Network and they provide medical assistance. They viewed my resume in Jobstreet.com and asked me to send them my resume last week.
On Monday, I was starting to feel the stress and nervous. I was keep practicing and practicing to speak in English and tried to be more confident as I can. I called Liz and asked for the interview tips. I also did some researches on it. Before gone to bed, I prayed very hard to God and hope that the interview can be worked smoothly.
The next day, I woke up early and started to prepare myself. I reached there at 11am but the the interview was at 11.30am. I always reach earlier because I think that be punctual is very important. I went up to the office at 11.20am and filling up the form at the reception desk. I was sweating because I was really nervous, but I told myself: "Everything is gonna be fine. All is well."
After finished fill up the form, Ms Valerie Chong, the interviewer came to meet me and we went into the
meeting room. And then, the interview was started.
Questions:
1. Please tell me about yourself.
2. Please tell me about your past working experience.
3. Please tell me about your weaknesses.
4. Please tell me about your strengths.
After gone through all the questions, I found out that my strengths are not applicable for this industry. Maybe I should go to advertising firm so that I can utilize my talents. She was keep asking about my strengths but I stopped and started to think about it. She wanted me to tell her more about my skills but not attitudes. But I told her, "I'm hardworking." Ok. It's good that mentioned about my attitudes but she seemed like not satisfied with my answer and then she stopped asking question.
The interview just took 30 minutes. It's good or bad? I don't know. I feel like it's more to bad.
Anyway, I'm waiting for their call now if I become the shortlisted candidate. And then, need to go for 2nd interview. GOSH!!!
So... that's all. Wish me good luck.

Part Time
Time flies. Now reach the end of July. And I'm going to leave Essence *now change to Essence Burson-Marsteller*
I'm really enjoy with the work but it's too stress.
Every morning, I need to read 6 Chinese newspaper. Since I'm the only one who can read and write in Chinese, so I need to do translation everyday, and my English does improve a little bit. But, my fingers' skin is peeling now! Because of the newspaper's ink!
This month, I went to many events, such as:
Malaysia SME Congress 2013
Many businessmen and businesswomen joined the congress and guess who I met? Winnie Loo and Irene Ang! OMG! Irene Ang was one of the guest speakers and her presentation was awesome! I love her so much! She has the power that can inspire everyone and she is very funny. She has her unique way to present and entertain *not BORED* the audience.
Peel Fresh New Ambassador Launch
The launch was held at Eastin Hotel, just located beside our office. For me, it was a luxury launch. The hotel is nice and the launch is interesting. Lisa Surihani is their new ambassador. I'm sure that you all saw their advertisements in most of the newspapers. Lisa is damn pretty and nice. I shot a photo with her and she smells good. *I'm not maniac ok?* And, the food was good too. The best thing was, I could drink the fruit juice drink as much as I can! Haha.
Mari Beramal Bersama Colgate 2013 Iftar Ramadan
This is the first time I went for iftar (buka puasa) event and seriously, it's HORRIBLE!! Everyone was fighting to get food, especially DRINKS! I know they didn't drink for the whole day, but they really couldn't wait and berebut-rebut to get the drinks until the kiosk is shaking! *No offence* Najwa Latif is their ambassador for this charity event and she is a famous singer. Her voice is sweet and she is only 18 years old! She is very nice and friendly; and everyone likes her. This is one of her famous song - Sahabat. Trust me, it's nice.
I also attended PhAMA media interview and British American Tobacco QAB. One of the event, Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2013 has postponed to September due to the haze. So I missed the chance to join as I felt down last year and totally couldn't enjoy during the race day.
One of the collegues, Renuka left us and Jenny is leaving soon. But 3 new colleagues from Burson-Marsteller joined us.
Mangales asked me whether want to extend another one month since I haven't get a job. But I rejected. Because I just earn little and need to travel from Klang to Damansara everyday. Damn, it's very tired!
Oh, I have another "interesting" story. Rubbini, the new intern from SEGI Uni College has joined us since 2 weeks ago. She is from Port Klang and now she is following my car to office. She is a weird and lazy girl. I don't know how to describe. She can't focus and pay attention while we are teaching her and also doing her work. She doesn't have common sense and I really don't want to say it, but... she is STUPID! *God, please forgive me!* She is very happening everyday and keep giving us "surprise" which we don't like. She was scolded by Mangales and Eswari, associated PR director. If you want to know more, please contact me or I'll tell you the storiesss when we meet.
Anyway, Bee Wei from Top Glove called me yesterday and informed me that they received my resume. Yeepee! She asked for my height and weight. And she said :" Miss, you're obese." I was like, shocked and funny! And then she explained :" Miss, currently our company is practicing healthy lifestyle. Do you mind if our nutritionist help you to on diet?" OMG! Sure! Of course! Finally I can slim down and I have a nutritionist and it's FREE!! *if they hire me* After that, she called back again and asked me :"Miss, you look slim in the photo. Are you confirm with your weight?" I almost laughed out at that time but luckily I didn't. I think maybe is because the angle and I'm wearing blazer in the photo. LOL.
Hope that they will hire me since the office is very near to my house. The new office is just located at Setia Alam! And then, they can look at my real body. LOL. *shy*
That's all. Bye.

Job Hunting
Yup! I'm not a student anymore, it's the time to face the reality.
GO TO GET A JOB!!
But dare to dream, don't let the reality kill it! I have sent out my resume *special thanks to LIZ* to many companies, like what I said in the last post. But still don't have company replies me. *SAD*
Few days ago, my ex-supervisor, Lyn called me and asked whether want to work as part time at Essence Communications. *the PR firm that I went for internship*
When I got her call, I was like, there's an angel came to rescue me! What a wonderful world. And then, guess what? I accepted the offer and went to office for interview.
I went to the office on Thurday (20th June 2013) and all my ex-colleagues were so happy and gave me a warm welcome! Of course, there has some faces that I never seen before I left there. Then, I met the HR Manager to talk about the salary. I won't say the salary that she offered me at here, but I'm going to say that... it's quite low, which it's out of my expectation. Since I was an intern and have experience with the job scope, I thought I can get a higher salary, maybe RM1,500? *work full time* But, I was wrong!
I was a little bit upset and try to deal with her in the phone yesterday afternoon. But still, not the amount that I want. Maybe I can talk with the finance manager on Monday. Hopefully everything can go smoothly.
Another thing that I want to say is, I sent my resume to Lewis PR Kuala Lumpur! OMG! It's a global PR firm and I sent my resume to them! I think I'm crazy! Really hope that they will call me and ask me go for interview. I'm very excited now! Please, please, please! Please get them to call me! *praying very hard*
I really hope that I can start my career with a good job, good company and of course, good salary. LOL.
Am I greedy? Absolutely NOT! Everyone is greedy because we want to have a good life!
So, wish me GOOD LUCK and pray for me!

Job Interview
Last week I sent out my resume to few companies, eg: Nuffnang, Media Prima, Melody FM etc. Finally there's someone calling me for the interview but not the company that I want.
It's SIN CHEW DAILY. The lady called me to interview for news editor on Friday (14th June 2013) 12PM at their HQ, Petaling Jaya. I was very excited and asked Jeannie to accompany me. *THANKS*
During that day, I wasn't nervous at all. Maybe is because the interview was conducted by Mandarin and this is not the job that I want.
A man, Mr Bai interviewed me. I think he is the head for news editorial department. He photocopied my secondary school and university result. After that he asked a lot of questions and interviewed me for 1 hour. Below are some of the questions:
- Do you understand an editor's job scope?
- Why do you choose editor as your job?
- Please say out the current hot news.
- Can you accept the working hours? (2pm - 10pm++)
- Bla bla bla...
Luckily I read newspaper and watch 新闻报报看 everyday. I still could listed out few hot topics and answered his questions with my basic knowledge (?). LOL.
Then he asked me to take a test for 2 hours. I was like, "WHAT?! Okie, WONG LING CHING. Calm down, it's not a big deal."
1) It asked me to write an 800-words-essay, "Why I choose to become an editor?" So I blew waterrrr.
2) There are few questions for general knowledge, eg: Najib is from which state?
3) Fill in the idiom and correct the wrong words.
4) Create a title for 4 news.
5) Translate an English news to Chinese news.
I admit. I used Google for most of the general-knowledge-questions and Google Translate for the translation. GOOGLE, you are the best teacher in the world! Love you so much!
So, I done the test and went for lunch with Jeannie. Yes, she was waiting me for almost 3 hours at the lobby. We went to Antipodean and ordered a lot of dishes! All dishes were very delicious except one -- the WEIRD salad!! Maybe it's not the salad that suit us.
Grilled Chicken. RM19. The tomatoes are so juicy and sweet! |
The BIG Breakfast which strongly recommended by Jeannie. RM 20. It's really a big portion of breakfast! |
That's all. I want to crawl to my bed now. My legs are freaking pain as I just finished my promoter job. Tomorrow is the last day for the Sensodyne Project! Yeah! *I'm a Sensodyne promoter*
